When you enter our center you will be greeted with Nebraska and South Dakota’s finest hospitality. Our guides and volunteers will gladly assist you with free Nebraska and South Dakota information, complimentary cup of coffee and your gift giving needs. Artistic Gifts & Wooden Products
A native of Wausa, Nebraska sculpts these metal flowers as well as both large and small steel sculptures of eagles. Hand carved sumac walking sticks, Nebraska red cedar hat racks with deer antlers, native Nebraska and South Dakota wooden bowls, clocks, golf club-duck head sculptured-paper weights, tee-heads and much, much, more grace our shelves.

Have a CD player and miles to travel? Let us set you up with informational CD’s about Nebraska’s Lewis & Clark Scenic Byway and or Outlaw Trail Scenic Byway. Need some tunes to help get you down the road? Check out our selection of local artist ranging from Western Historian Music to St. Boniface Parish Youth Choir or Little Froggy songs to help entertain the kids. (Cassettes available also)

We are proud to sell and display handcrafted jewelry, crocheted angels, and a variety of hand-sewn items from potholders to blue jean purses. If you like wall décor check out our framed stitchery sayings from a South Dakota sewer or original paintings or prints from local artists. Give your gifts a personal touch with one of the many handmade cards featuring favorite sayings to scenic photo’s, or note cards and post cards. |

Some Gallery Items Are Displayed In The Gift Shop Our Gallery shares with our visitors the many talents of Nebraska and South Dakota Artists. Exhibits held in the past: 2007 Duck Stamp Artist Mark S. Anderson, Jolene Steffen Original Paintings, Randel Anderson Original Pencil and Water Color Pictures along with Ranney’s Original Lewis & Clark “along the Trail” and ‘Rock ’N Road” photo display’s and Roddy MacInnes “James River-Sad but Sympathetic” photo exhibit. |
Exhibits may also include museum artifacts along with traveling and educational exhibits. Changes monthly so you will want to check our “What’s Happening” page for current exhibits and activities. |

"Where Are You From?" Map
Be sure to join others as you put your pin in where you are from. This map shows where other visitors have come from around the world. Each Memorial Day we take a photograph of the current map then take out all the pins and put out a new map. So you will have to be sure to visit again next year. |
